Canon 5D Mark III won't turn on. Nov 24, 2016. Hey guys and gals, So I was an unfortunate victim of my Canon 5D Mark III failing to power on this evening, and I am completely stumped as to what is going on. I have had the camera for around 1.5 years, use it in moderation, probably about 5-6 small shoots and have never had a problem with it.

It works, but need to redo every time I remove the battery for charging. -Steve. Steph Kimball wrote:

Getting a replacement door is your best option, since it will properly protect your body, battery and trigger the switch, but
My Canon 5D Mark II has always flashed the LED whenever I put a battery in, even if it's off. I figure it's just reading the battery info, since it tracks batteries in firmware. Sounds like the camera is just not turning on, period. I guess what I mean is that the insides haven't been fried by a bold of lightning or total discharge of the . 495 215 230 329 280 66 228 406
